New Artist and Photographers Submissions
We are a specialist Art Licensing Company whose aim is to create licensing opportunities for the Artists and Photographers we represent.
We are therefore particularly interested in fine artists, photographers and designers who have existing collections of work that can form the basis of an Art Licensing Program. Our role is to present work to publishers and manufactures (licensees) who then license the work and manufacture actual products in order to sell them to retail outlets, Interior designers, distributors or framers throughout the US, Canada, Europe and other countries in the world.
Artists need to be familiar with the Home Décor and Gift market in terms of trends, colors and subject matter. Most artists fail in this regard as they do not understand how the wall decor and poster market is essentially driven by the Home Décor market. Most framed art, canvas and posters are sold through retail outlets such as Pier 1, Bed Bath & Beyond, Ikea, Homegoods, Crate and Barrel, Target etc as well as through furniture stores and gallery outlets. Home décor accessories is now big business; trays, coasters, rugs, cushions, bed linens, kitchen accessories, ceramics and even furniture are all potential products which can be coordinated with sets of framed prints sometimes utilizing the same designs.
We also work with more sophisticated art and photography for publishers who sell to the hospitality industry. Projects include; hospitals, hotels, office complexes, spas and Federal building projects.
Over the years we have developed a very strong client base so artists who are represented by Out of the Blue have the knowledge that their work will be seen by many of the top publishers and manufacturers in the world. Michael has developed many long term relationships with Art Directors and company owners over his career so rest assured your licensing program is in very capable hands.
If you wish to submit a presentation this can be done as follows: Email initially 10-20 low res jpgs 72 dpi (150-350k for each image) Zip and name file with your full name. No mail submissions accepted.
Artists accepted for representation will be given a two year agreement. All promotional expenses and inclusion in our website are covered by Out of the Blue Licensing. Artists and photographer receive 50% of all revenue generated.
