Susan Friedman

Susan is an award-winning photographer, filmmaker and mixed media artist. She began photographing horses in 2007 and for the last few years she has traveled to breeding farms in France, Morocco and Portugal and photographed some of the world’s most magnificent breeds of horses.

“There is something in the idea of the horse that evokes what I feel we as humans have lost: our connection to spirit, sense of wildness, and our spontaneity. Where wild horses fight, gallop through water, run through raging fire in slow motion... They are terrifyingly beautiful... I always wonder IF I DREAMED it before I saw it”
